Its body is an opaque slab of charcoal-grey dermis, thick with vascular sinew and reinforced by collagen-like fibers that resist dielectric breakdown. It possesses a distinct, bulbous head housing a centralized brain and a ventral mouth for condensing atmospheric moisture. Four robust, muscular limbs end in gripping claws for anchoring against high-velocity winds, while two sensory stalks detect voltage gradients. It does not store electricity; instead, it channels lightning through insulated ducts into specialized catalytic chambers where the energy splits atmospheric nitrogen into ammonia for protein synthesis. The creature is vividly colored with warning bands of crimson and orange along its flanks, signaling its lethal conductivity to predators.
