On Xylos Prime, the sky is a churning, violet sludge of ionized neon and fluorine, lit only by the violent, invisible strobe of a dying magnetar. There is no light to see, only the crushing weight of magnetic pressure. The dominant lifeform, the Vexillum-Fluxus, is not a crystal or a machine, but a massive, bloated, soft-bodied animal of charcoal-grey flesh and translucent, fluid-filled bladders. It possesses no rigid skeleton; instead, its body is a pressurized hydrostatic sac, constantly reshaping itself to withstand the magnetic shear. It does not 'walk' on invisible rails; it physically grabs the atmosphere. Its underside is lined with six massive, muscular, sucker-like 'flux-grippers' that can extend and contract, mechanically tearing free electrons from the air and pulling the creature forward with a wet, slapping motion. The creature's 'head' is a fleshy, undulating ridge of sensory tentacles that taste the magnetic density of the air. Its skin is thick, leathery, and dark, crisscrossed by pulsing, bioluminescent blue veins that glow brighter as it digests the raw ion flux.
